Putting in effort and hard work really does nothing but gives others higher expectations from one. Even when one strives for perfection, naught but greed and complacency is created.

Hello!?? I'm only getting paid a rank allowance of $440 / month !
All I ask for is peace, respect and understanding. Yet people are always greedy, and wants more and expect one to complete everything perfectly and quickly in all sort of scenarios. If you find me too slow, and love to whine, nag and complain like as if I were to be your slave, while I do all the work tirelessly, yet insufficient and you get to enjoy all the glory; I hope you can quickly find a replacement NSF whom is able to match up with your expectations. I can follow orders, and do what so ever within my power to do so, but I can't create miracles. Even if I could create such miracles, I can't find the motivation to do so.

I know, I know.. all humans make mistakes, so do I. That's how we learn and mature from our past. Despite that, you still ask for the impossible to be done. I have enough of my share already, if worst comes to worst, you could always find a replacement. I'm pretty confident that there's someone out there whom is much more capable than I am; Whom is able to complete all your tasks and duty without fail.

No one is able to understands your true self, as well as one's self.

Navy Open House

With reference to the u/m post with regards to my GPU, I've finally collected and installed my old GPU into my PC. The performance isn't as good as what I've expected, but I'll bear it for now, and probably have a upgrade sometime when I ORD.

Anyway today is the 1st day of Navy Open House, opened to RSN personnels and family members. When I arrive at Changi Naval Base, I learned that ITE students were apparently also invited to the Open House.

Walked around the whole Open House area with my group of colleagues. There were food stalls located in certain areas, I would it as acceptable.

Went into the interior of a frigate.

It's relatively much smaller than what I've expected it to be. I have learn that being too tall isn't good when you're maneuvering about the interior of a ship. As space is a constraint, there are quite a few stairways; watch your head when climbing the stairs as there is low ceiling.

Facts that I've learned from today Navy Open House.
About 70-80% of ITE are populated with Malays.
Navy Open House is 1 of the few events that Malays are able to learn, touch, and see the Navy.

Another topic on hand, are your work being appreciated by your colleagues and superiors..? What would you do if your workload keeps stacking up, being unable to clear? Additionally, your superior keeps pestering you to speed up and quickly finish your work, or get some helping hands; And when you request for some help from some of your colleagues, they would whine and say that what are you slacking off, and not doing your work. However, you're already doing your best, and yet those colleagues of yours who have MUCH lesser workload, are dragging their work at their own pace, keeps whining that you're slacking too much.

I'm sure you would be pretty stressed up and feel like punching these society black sheep. It is very demoralizing that what you are doing is not being appreciated by your colleagues and superior, and yet those colleagues of yours who are less hard working, keeps sucking up to their superiors, are being recognized. Would you be satisfied?

Yes, this is the true light and fact of the society that I'm in. Full of hypocrisy and biasness.

In my humble opinion, people will only truly learn to appreciate each other's commitment when they leave you one by one, as they are all taking the easier way of life for granted.

Layman terms, hard work does not necessary be rewarded with appreciation nor rewards.

Since I've ~~not much~~ NO choice in this association that I'm currently working for. I have decided to do things at my own pace and limitations, and enjoy as much welfare that I am entitled to as possible. Striving to live a stress-free lifestyle is always good for one's mind.

GPU faulty

Went to Sim Lim Square this afternoon to send my CPU for servicing/checking.. Encountered a lot of problems when playing games. And that really piss me off since I can only use my pc for surfing and watching anime.. kinda beat the purpose for having gaming keyboard/mouse, 22" LCD screen, and extra base speakers..

The techy checked my PC and run a couple of simulation checks and said my FPS was very low. So he had to send my GPU for servicing.. so mean while I'll have to endure the sucky intergrated GPU with the motherboard.

Anyway we left the CPU at the shop while the guy took his time to run the checks. Had lunch and went back to SLS, and check for games.

Bought a Juggernaunt table mat. It's really huge and comfy =p
Also bought the PS3 Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
Shared the cost with my bro.. and mean while I'm blogging, he is playing the game joyfully >.> I couldn't deflower the game coz I was busy cleaning my table top and plugging back the cables to my CPU.. Had to change the graphic cable to a analog cable aswell.. (was using digital previously)

Oh well.. waiting for Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn to be downloaded now. =p

Shag beyond the description of fatigue

I'm super shag beyond the description of fatigue.

My regular weekday routine:
Waking up at 5:30am, eat breakfast, shower, brush teeth and wash up. Rushing out of the house at 6:30am to catch the 7am MRT to Joo Koon from Lavender MRT station; the ride is about 40mins. 95% of the time I'll be standing all the way, with 5% chance that the person in front of me would alight by Outram stop.
Take the shuttle bus to camp, and report at 8am in the office.

-work my ass off in base-

Change and take the 5:15pm shuttle bus out of camp, to Joo Koon MRT station. Take another 40mins trip to Bugis MRT station. Grab a bite/dinner, then start working part-time at the restaurant. Get off work at 10/11pm, which then I'd reach home at 11-12am+
And hopefully able to wash up and get in bed at 12am.

Seems like my life style is becoming more and more.. hectic.
Wondering how long more can my body and mind last before I break down~

CNY Approaching

Ahh.. it's really becoming a pain in the ass to blog >.>

Finally I got permission from my Unit to work part-time during my free time, as long as it will not cause any problems with my NSF work. And yup, I went back to my previous employer to help out. But only like 3-4 hours each day. None the less, the pay out is much more better than my NSF allowance of $420/month, excluding the NS insurance, magazines, SAFRA membership; I'm left with like $350/month.

After losing my Oakley half-jacket shades. I decided to get a brand new Oakley Radar shades. Importing it from overseas as it's cheaper, black-polarized lens + 2 normal lens, total of $630 SGD.

Also getting a new pair of limbs.. Hoyt Carbon 550, 70" 34#
Going to have to drop my poundage, to avoid injuring myself.. May tear my muscles while pulling the 40# since my I've slacken too much >.>

CNY Resolutions:
1. More staff officer being employed into my Department so my work load burden can be shared =p

2. Increase my pay and working hours >.<

3. More Ang Pao money =d

4. More cheaper and nice figures to be released and collected xD

Chalet: Isaiah & Yong Tian Birthday

Ahh~!!

Just came back from the chalet.

To celebrate Isaiah and Yong Tian's brithday at pasir ris chalet. Went there yesterday in the afternoon at about 2pm together with my brother. Waited for the food, then straight right into the pool~!! ^^

Splash here, splash there, then throw some loose change (20 cents) that Isaiah left after paying for the food into the pool, and we go "treasure hunting" for that 20cents.. feel so childish and lame.. (if you think that this is childish.. you haven't even got the slightest idea what's going on.)

After washing up, we started our bbq at 6pm, and with Guo Jun as our bbq chef. It is the most delicious bbq I've eaten in my bbq experience! Superb! 5/5 points! xD

We then sang birthday songs to our 2 VIPs, and proceeded with the cake SMASHING. It was cut so ungracefully and the portion was UNEVEN!! Wait til Jaden uploads the image.. he serve me like a tiny portion of the cake.. comparable to 1 table spoon.

My bro left early as he has to catch the last train/bus to go home after the cake session.

During midnight, a few of us walked to the playground area in the park and played around.. especially the spinning wheel which relies on gravitation force from the people to maintain the spinning.. we were spinning there for over 5 mins, until I almost puke >.>

When the rest of the group arrived, we play blind mice at 1 of the playground. Have to say it's quite challenging.. it's not the everyday straight path place. I kinda like the jumping and the robes..

Well.. after that I waiting till dawn and took the first few train and buses back home to rest. =p

Just some status update.. :D
Currently situated at TNB (Tuas Naval Base), Unit - Tuas iPH, NPD (Tuas intergrated Personnel Hub, Naval Personnel Department)

It's definitely not the most satisfying job that I find, but it isn't as half bad as I wanted. What else could I expect out of a ASA (Admin Support Assistant) job scope after all.

Anyway I recently bought the new PS3 Slim and a 32" HD-Ready LCD with money pooled together with my brother and myself.

Currently finding 2nd cheap ps3 games.. so let me know if you have anything for sale :P

BACK; Home Quarantine

Finally I'm back from the Tekong island. Super loads of things happened over there that wasn't even suppose to exist in the first place.

I was suppose to book out yesterday afternoon at 3pm, but got post phoned until 8.30pm in the night. To be honest, it was really a relief to be even able to book out on that Friday night.

Before I start saying anything else, FUK YOU GERAD QUEK (V 3308; Company Viper Platoon 3 Section 3 Bed 08), or however your name is spell.

So I was enlisted on 22nd June '09, on a Monday morning. After exchanging my IC for the 11b, said my oathe, had lunch with my family, took our duffer bag, settle in the bunk, tried the uniform, changed the uniform if they couldn't fit us.. that's all for the 1st day.

On the 2nd day, it was even more slack, went to the auditorium to listen to lecture the whole morning, in the afternoon, we receive 3 immunization for tenatus, tyfoid and polio. Went back to bunk, then waiting for snack time.. at 8.30pm if I recalled correctly..

So this is how it begins.. while we were getting brief after the snacks, we saw an ambulance rushing over to our company. Then the OC told us that our dear friend from Platoon 3 Section 3 Bed 08, GERAD QUEK is under the suspect of h1n1. So we had to do a thorough cleanup of our bunk, toilet, corridor and stairway.

Following that, on that fateful night, I was just having a slight running nose, so I had to report sick.. I only had my thermometer, 11b, a pen, wearing my admin attire with PT shoes. The moment the 16 of us who reported sick arrive at the Medical Centre, they quarantined us there in the waiting room; it was 10.30pm when we were locked in the room. The room was air conditioned, with hard-stiff chairs, and a empty cold-hard floor for us to rest thought out the night.. If you think it felt good, you should try it out yourselve.

The next day, the food were send to us at each intervals, in microwave packages. In the afternoon, we had to do a nozzle swap test, which would be send to DXO for testing. And finally in the night, roughly 6pm the warrant officer asked the medics to give us some saffari beds, they were more like temporary stretchers or some sort. But we only got to enjoy that for 1.5 hours, lol. When they wake us up for snack, they told us to pack up and clear the room after the snacks. We were then shifted to Mohawk Company, Platoon 1 Section 1 bunk. FINALLY WE GOT A BED TO OURSELVE!! OMG!! But we still have not brush our teeth or have a bath for 2 days straight! We were practically being pigs, being fed, then sleep after washing up. And after pleading with a private from Company U, who was incharged of our food, helped us to inform our Company to bring ESSENTIALS to us.. and for the record, the ESSENTIALS that the sargents refer to are, our toiletries, a undergarment, and a shirt. So yes, I was without my handphones for tho whole 3 days. Following that, some1 from Company Viper (sadly I cannot mention his name or position), brought us our ESSENTIALS and even gave us deck of UNO! He was really a life savior to us.. from that evening onwards, we were practically on ecstasy.

The next day, which is Friday. We were still waiting for the nozzle swap test result, the COS (Company Orderly Sargent) of Mohawk informed us that we needed to do a 2nd nozzle swap, and that we may not be able to book out.. Anyway, we were all taught to "suck thumb" on the 1st day already. After lunch, we had the nozzle swap test, most of us were lazing on the bed after that. Finally the news that we were all waiting for.. we can book out in the night! So we had to clean up the bunk, and fall in, in the evening, and we can finally return to our Company! I must say that it was quite a pleasant and warm welcome, rofl. Thanks guys!

Sadly, when I return to my bunk, they told me that there was a 2nd confirm case of h1n1 in the company, and that's why we had to take the nozzle swap a 2nd time. Anyway, that's about all that happened within that 5 days.. and now I'm under home quarantine orders for 7 days, and will be reporting to my new unit on the 6th July, at Changi Naval Base.

Serving NS

Starting from tomorrow, 22nd June 2009. I'll be formally serving the Nation. Need to report at Pasir Ris interchange at 0745 latest to catch a bus to the ferry to Tekkong, BMT school 2. Going there for 5 and a 1/2 day of Residential Induction Programme..

Hopefully I am able to survive for the next coming 2 years before my ROD.. yes, ROD; Run Out Date. Will be really forward towards it.

Anyway, I'll be booking out this coming Saturday evening, so don't miss me (for those who are even bothered to read this blog of mine) >.<

Japanese EL1 Retake

Yup, that's the score I got for the retake of Japanese Elementary level 1 from Bunka. The difference in the difficulty between the level 1 and level 2 test is seriously big. lol.

Anyway, now that I've finally resigned from Empire State. Freedom has returned to me once again. Went down to Toyntoys, followed by MKZ; to collect my Nagi Nendoroid and MikkuMikku Kagami Nendoroid.

Regarding my sms pre-order on Hatsune Miku Nendoroid, their warehouse screwed up and mis-placed the goods. So they refunded me $42.

Oso regarding the pre-order I placed for Isaiah, Alter Louise Gothic version, MKZ supposedly ordered 6, but only 1 arrived. And unfortunately for Isaiah, my deposit wasn't the first, so yeah, they refunded my deposit for the Alter Louise aswell..

Flunk Jap Test

Omg, went to take my Jap test the other day at Bunka; 45 minutes paper, marked on the spot after completing, took less than 20 minutes before I got my results after finishing the paper. The paper was so much more difficult than I had expected. Maybe because I'm taking it individually, they decide to increase the level of difficulty so I'd fail, and end up retaking the basic course again >_>

Anyway my result was 25/80 for the paper. I couldn't understand quite a lot of the questions as there was quite a few usage of katagana in the close passages. And they weren't translated into romanji or hiragana for me to read or understand. Also they tested how to join 2 sentences together using the "te" form. There was also the polite and non-polite sentence changing. Not forgetting, changing the sentence from present tense to past tense form.

The most unforgettable question is the last part, translation of sentence.

1. Mr Yamada is good at playing tennis.
2. Who is reading newspaper over there?
3. I want a dictionary.
4. I have an umbrella.
5. What kind of movie did you watch?

Not too sure where I went wrong, but yeah, I failed.
Following that I went to TNT to collect my extravaganza Nagato.

Here comes the best part.

As my brother has already completed the basic EL1, and is proceeding with EL2, I went to read and check out the Vol.2 book. And I found that most of the stuffs that are tested in the paper was in that book. -_-
Now why the hell did they gave a EL2 paper to some1 who has not even completed the EL1 course fully?

Went to clarify with them this afternoon, booked another date for retest, and they reserved me a slot in the same class time as my bro =D
So now I just have to pass the paper and I'll be in the same stage as my bro =)

3 Days off

Ahh.. despite having failed to get 2x pay for working on Labour day and Vesak day. I've been given 3 days off consecutively starting from today (tuesday to thursday). However since I've been given 3 days off, why not use them for my Japanese EL1 test which I had skipped for over a month; So I've booked my test day on Thursday.. I got about a day + to study for it. Shouldn't be that hard to pass it, but would be difficult to perfect it I guess. Just hoping that it'd be the same format as the 1 my brother took =D

Another Day Off Over

Ahh ahh.. Another day off over. My off days are soooo precious to me.. having 12 hour shift everyday is really tiring my out badly. Especially with my late night bad habits, which you could see from the time this post is being made.

Having to catch up previous and this season anime together with a few hours each day is insufficient.. I've recently just started picking up Zettai Karen Children. So far my favourite gotta be Nogami Aoi, but I love Kaoru's DOM attitude, lol. xD

And yeah, it seems to me that every time I have my off day, I'll go to either LaTendo, MKZ, TNT, or KKnM.. I went to MKZ just now to pick up the Nendoroid Louise. When I asked about my Hatsune Miku again, they told me that they shifted it to their "warehouse", and to come back another day to pick it up. I also receive news that their shipment for Lelouch and Gothic Punk Louise will be arriving at the end of this month. So I'll probably go to MKZ to collect Lelouch and Miku together.. and for the Gothic Punk Louise, hopefully I can get back my remainder of $25 from Isaiah back asap when it arrives.

Off to sleep.. need to report at 12pm (11:45am) later.

Pay Received

Received my pay slip a few days ago and now it's in my account ($650.50). After deducting the uniform and other accessories ($62.20), and averaging my traveling expenses of about $90, I'm left with $498.30 . Averaging that for 3 weeks of work, I got myself an average of $166 per week. With that in mind, I really have to be more thrifty.

Oh and thanks to Arnold, I got to watch X-men Wolverine, although it's not the final-edit cut, I get to watch the blood-shed history of Wolverine. There are fighting scenes here and there, but they aren't exaggerated enough, the fights usually ends in less than 2 mins, with the exception of the last fighting scene with victor. Still, there's 1 thing I learned from Striker =D He said that subject 11 has all the good and none of the bad in it, looks like he forgot to take into consideration of the subject's intelligence, or the AI. 'Coz he is really dumb for a "perfect" subject.

3rd Off Day

Ahh..... Finally having my 3rd off day since I have started working. Had to go rent my graduating robe, and now to catch up on those anime that has been piling up.

Things to update..
Received "Extravagant Haruhi" from Latendo the other day when I had my off; which was like 10 days ago. Still in the mist of getting a display shelve, so yeah.. she's kept in the shiny box, in my gloomy wardrobe. I'm still thinking of how I want to do up my shelve, especially above my table.. (planning to display Fate-Sonic above my working desk..) hehz.

Regarding my job.
Gotta say it's getting kinda robotic; report at 11am, go home at 11pm-12am, sleep, wake up at 9am; cycle. Kinda running out of freedom and breath. Anyway the pay day is almost reaching.. getting about $800 for the past 3 weeks of work.. feels kind of little for the effort we're putting in.. so much OT, yet not even $1k.. =/
And I still haven't paid for my uniform, etc. which totals up to $38.20, and taking into consideration of my traveling expenses of about $3/day ($80-$90/month), I'm left with about $680...

sigh.. alrite; time for dinner and off to sleep to prepare for tmr's work.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers Fate T Harlaown ( フェイト・Ｔ・ハラオウン ) True Sonic Form ( 真・ソニックフォーム ) 1/7 PVC figure by Alter is going to be release this coming August. It is about 350mm tall, riot blades are about 270mm long, riot saber about 560mm long, costing $190 from Toyntoys.

This figure is from the anime series "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS", ( 魔法少女リリカルなのはStrikerS ).

Another splendid work by Alter's sculptor, Hiroyuki Tsumeduka. 2 of his other superb artwork from Alter are Hayate and Reinforce.

Full Time Job

Finally after applying for quite a few temporary and part time jobs. I've found myself a full time job which should last me until I enlist into National Service. The pay isn't very enticing, but at least the pay should be able to last me until I enlist. Since they would provide lunch, and I don't have to contribute my earnings to my parents yet, my earnings is more than sufficient to cover transportation and my figures.. =D

In addition to this, I've recently received a call from Singapore Poly regarding the bursary which I have applied for 2 years ago. The clerk apparently informed me that my application was successful. However as this bursary is from a private sector, they still have not send in a cheque to Singapore Poly. Even rushing them for over a year, and they replied that they are sending in the cheque, it's still to no avail, even up to now. However I was offered another alternative, to receive $1000 from Singapore Poly instead of the original $1900. Obviously even people with no money-sense, or are bad at it would choose to wait. Since I've already waited for over a year, what's the harm of waiting longer. If I've enlisted and they still have not send the bursary to me, so be it. That just proves how sincere they are about the bursary; perfectly showing how much respect they have for the person who had put up the funding.

New Desktop

After getting a D.I.Y. desktop, with a 20" inch widescreen monitor at the IT fair, it's really a blast playing Fallout 3 on it. As obviously my laptop couldn't support the graphic load of the game, I couldn't try it out.

I like a lot of the aspects of the game, but there are still a few things that I preferred otherwise.. oh well I guess that's just part and parcel of a game that's good. You can't have the best out of both sides. =D

Hmm. other than this, L4D has also updated to v1.0.1.0, time to update and play it on the desktop.

Either way, my class celebrated Pei Ling's birthday today at Bugis's Ministry of Food. Had Eunagi Bento set, and chicken 'balls', have forgotten the Japanese name for the dish. And had a chocolate cream for dessert. After dessert, they brought in the cake, flower and big poster "card" for her. The class really had fun trying to take photos of Pei Ling and Desmond, trying to get them to have a 'couple' picture.. xD

Oh.. time to relax and enjoy myself for the night. Will be quite a busy and exciting day tomorrow.. archery in the morning, Japanese lesson in the afternoon, and probably going to KKnM in the evening.

1 DAY MORE!!!

Yesterday's CCCRT exam paper was surprisingly much easier than expected. Sufficient confidence of getting at least 80% for that final paper which weights 40%; which in turn translate to 32% of the whole module.

With CCCRT out of the way, I'm left with bio materials!! I'm so hyped up that at long last I'm able to "graduate" from Singapore Polytechnic; not sure if I can sleep soundly through the night =/

However I'm not particularly looking forward to my life after this whole thing.. still have to finish FYP Report, find a good temporary job, and then serve the nation.. *sigh*

Left 2 Days before I graduate unofficially.

This sensation of "success" and "failure" in Singapore Polytechnic has made me realize life has gone by so fast, and it will never wait for you.

Can't wait to sit for my next paper, bio materials. Following that I'm left with my FYP final report. And BANZAI! I'm outta SP!

My Japanese class is also starting this Saturday!! Hah! Probably will be shooting in the morning, before heading to Delfi Orchard for my lessons thou. Hope my bulky haversack won't be obstructing anyone.

Teana Lanster PVC Alter Ver.

Alter just released Teana Lanster from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS, 160mm tall.

This is my 6th Alter Nanoha PVC I've collected so far. At first sight, I thought the quality wasn't up to standard, partly thanks to the low or bad resolution of the picture I found. But after finding higher resolution pictures, like those posted below, I can’t just pass up a dual pistol wielding twin tail girl. Not really sure if you can call her "tsundere", but yeah, she do has some loving qualities and the figure is cute.

She’s a 1/7 scale figure, made by Alter. Like all the other Nanoha figures, Teana comes with a large base with her name printed on it, with description on her weapon on it. Comes with an option to change the guns into dagger-mode, which look very cool. The options comes with each one of her arms as an optional part, so you swap out her arms, instead of changing the weapons to get the variant. This option makes sure the weapons stay put and fit right.

Class 3 P-Plate Over

A year has passed since the issue of my class 3 license. Thus, starting from this day, and hopefully for the rest of my life (don't get my license suspended) I will not have to put that triangle, probation plate while driving motorcars. =D

To bring things up to speed, KKnM has finally contacted me to collect Teana Lanster. Given 2 weeks to collect it, I'll probably go down this Saturday or Sunday since I'd have graduated unofficially by then..

Hm.. Come to think about it, I still haven't post any pix on her. Will do it on my next post.

With yet another paper done and over with, I'm left with the last 2 final papers! (CCCRT) Contamination Control and Clean Room Technology, what a bs module it is indeed. Not even students in CLS; chemical engineering, or EEE using semi-conductor clean rooms who uses them the most are required to study the fundamentals of a clean room structure and installation requirements.. We, who don't even use those clean rooms very too often, have to know how to build one out of thin air. -_-

Oh, that applies for most MM students.. not sure if those aeronautical and resort management are required to take up this module or not.

Either way, I stayed up the whole night just to study for this morning's Bio-Mechanics, with a gut feel that I'd only score roughly 60%. >_> Those inertia and mechanics that required a lot of foundations from mechanics 1, 2 & 3, I really had a tough time with them.. I admit that I do not have enough practice =/ Anyway, it's done and over with. Time to focus on the next and most bs adversary of MM.

Anyway, as I have been delaying my university application, the dateline for NUS application is tomorrow afternoon to evening.. as their office is closes at 1730hrs on Friday, and they do not operate on weekends. I've applied and submit an online application, I've also paid online using my credit card.

Conclusion, I've to go to the admission office personally to pass them the relevant documents if I don't want to waste my effort in the application and the application fees I paid.

It's Mikku!! Since I ordered Nendoroid MikkuMiki Kagami, it just feels wierd without the original Nendoroid Hatsune Mikku.

Pre-ordered Nendoroid MikkuMiku Kagami from MKZ for $48, estimated arrival May 2009.

Ordered Nendoriod Hatsune Mikku from MKZ for $42.
Have not collected yet, waiting for Nendoroid Louis to be collected before going down to MKZ. The estimated arrival for Nendoroid Louis is February 2009, which is this month, there are always chances that the shipment may or may not be delayed.

MikkuMiku Kagami action figure is taken from the manga/OVA of Lucky Star. Apparently the story goes like this..

Kagami's family went to attend the fighting tournament, and Kagami is to watch over the house. When asked to go.. It's fine. It would be a pain anyway says so Kagami.

After they left the house, as Kagami is reading/watching the newspaper/television, Konata just pops in out of nowhere in a mage "setting" (somewhat Nagato style) and tells Kagami that she would grant her wishes. Saying that Kagami is Cinderella, bullied by her evil mother and sister, thus Kagami cannot attend the tournament. In actual fact, forcing Kagami to go for the fighting competition.

The reason for matching a fighting tournament to Cinderella's ball is that "fighting tournament" sounds like "ball" in Japanese.

And so Konata tells Kagami that she has to go to the tournament in a horse and carriage (Cinderella's style). Following that, she used her magic and changed her house altar into a carriage. Obviously Kagami declines and refuse to leave the house and go for the tournament. Rejected, Konata felt depressed and left.
(Konata did not changed the altar back; lol)

Since Kagami profusely rejects Konata's horse and carriage method to attend the tournament, Konata decides to use magic and add tracks (tank's tracks) to the bottom of the house, and move it to the tournament with Kagami inside.

Feeling desperate, Kagami submits to Konata. So they went towards the tournament in that "carriage" made earlier from the altar.
(Take note that Konata did not move the house back; lol!)

On the way to the tournament, Konata calls Kagami tsundere~ as she is looking forward to the tournament, while saying not otherwise. Following that Konata changes Kagami outfit, first was a default dress costume, somewhat like a maid's outfit. As Kagami repeatedly asks to be changed back, Konata changes her into her favourite shrine girl outfit. Third change, Tohsaka Rin, and finally after that, MikkuMiku Kagami!! When Kagami is SUPER MAD, and Konata finally agrees to change her back into her normal outfit, the star on Konata's magic stick falls off. (This means that Konata's magic is lost. LOL!!!) So Kagami has to go to the tournament in her MikkuMiku outfit.

The tournament turns out to be wrestling for females, and the winner will become Misao's bride. Misao is Kagami's classmate.
As soon as Misao see Kagami, she hugs Kagami and asks her to join the tournament, and become her bride. Kagami rejects and Konata tells Misao she's in tsun~ mode. Rejected again, Kagami asks to go home as she anticipates that the magic will wear off by 12 mid night.

On the way back, she finally noticed that her house hasn't move and is still in the middle of the street. Konata was asked to move the house back as her "Sterling Inferno" has been fixed, and immediately after saying that, it was 12 mid night sharp, so everything reverts back to normal, except for the house, without the tracks, but still in the middle of the street. Konata tell Kagami to leave the house as it is. As the magic was only bestowed upon Konata and she lost it, Konata gives Kagami a spell to reset everything, as only Kagami can "cast" it.

Project Viva.. where you are interviewed and accessed individually by your project supervisor and co-supervisor. For my case, they are Chris Lee and FTT.

Usually Project Viva concludes your FYP and your grades, unfortunately our report sucks and done out of thin air.. yeah.. out of thin air.. lol; need to re-submit in a final report.. due 1 week after the semestral exam. Guess I'll have to put my plans on hold for a week. Hope I won't end up in a financial crisis situation..

Custom Cabinet

*Figurine Status Update*
Collected "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS 1/7 Scale Pre-Painted PVC Figure: Signum" from Toyntoys yesterday, on the 23rd Janaury. Another job well done from Alter. There isn't much optional parts to Signum as compared to Hayate or Vita. Just have to attach Laevatein to her right hand.
This was sculpted by Tanaka Touji. The same sculptor for Vita aswell. There's a similarity in both the striking poses; showing their awesomeness aswell as their sparkling white barrier jackets.

Either way, my plans for a custome-made display cabinets are proceeding as planned. I just met up with the contractor and discuss with him about the dimensions, materials used, lighting options, etc.
My ideal cabinet is of 1800mm in height, 800mm in width, and depth of 400mm. The only major problem is the depth, he said that at most it can go up to 350mm. So he went off with the dimensions that I gave him, and he would come back another day after he has drawn it out.

Other options that I want to include is a mirror at the back of the cabinet. Adjustable shelves. Lightings. All these are possible, but I'm still considering what kind of LED lighting do I need and want. Factors to consider are the colour, position of the bulb, should I get a strip type, or a bulb type, the angle of position, etc.. And to add on.. those really nice LED tubes costs liks $130 SGD for 30cm.

After he left, by maximizing the constraints that he gave, I decided to test it out myself.

Where's all my resolution? 4 weeks more to go, for my finals. Procrastination is my no.1 enemy and attitude that I have to get rid off. Sigh.. Resolutions are so easy to make, yet so hard to stick with.

Will have to some how gather my will power and start gathering up my thoughts from all over. After all I just have to persevere for another 2 months. When March strikes, I'm free from these binding chains. Yeah, let's look forward to that.. =d

FYP; Bronze Award

The study spree for mid-semester has ended, causing me to lose quite a lot of weight. My mom noticed it when I was getting new pants for the FYP exhibition. And I confirmed it using the force displacement plate in the bio-mechanics lab, measuring up to about 660 N, which is about 67kg. It was measured at 65kg at home, may be different due to the fact that I'm living on the 11th storey.

Anyway, only 4 of us attended the closing ceremony. Li Xin and Edmund had church activities and couldn't make it. None the less, better than the previous year; we achieved a bronze award for CHRIS LEE!! BE $#@!ING GRATEFUL!! =x

Went CMPB last Wednesday for my medical check up!

Was kinda similar to the full body checkup before I joined SP. Except that the checkup b4 Poly didn't had Dental, X-ray and ECG. But the male nurse was a big joker. Can't forget what kind of question he posed to me..

He asked me this while pointing to a old Auntie outside of the corridor; "If she gives you 2 million SGD, will you want to be with her for your lifetime?"

I was like.. LOL!? WTH! NO!!

And obviously since he was the 1 who posed that question, he said, he'd probably take the deal. -_-
Wad a hopeless guy.. but he looks like in his late 30s.. maybe he's getting desperate.. lol.

Oh yeah.. right to the point.. everything was PES A until I met the MO, who immediately downgraded me to PES E9 L9. Cheers!
If you don't know the reason, you're probably not a close friend of mine, so yeah.. don't bother probing :P

AFA08 - Day 2

Apologies for the late post, was too shag after the concert last night and didn't had the energy to post before snoozing off.

May'N concert was really blast. Glad I was able to attend it. Most remarkably, I managed to get myself standing at the barricade, some what closest possible distance from the stage without paying for black diamond VP passes. (Ashley, my brother and I camp at the barricade from 4pm all the way until to the start of the concert, which is 7pm. Pretty impressive eh? Isaiah joined us around 5-6pm, Zheng Yi was too late to be able to squeeze into the front line. So too bad for quad-booster =D

Listening her songs live on stage is really different from listening to the song tracks. And her voice is really powerful and able drive the crowd wild =D

I should buy her album when it's released in SG.. or was it released already? =/

AFA08 - Day 1

Entrance of AFA08

I've just returned from the Suntec Exhibition Halls; grounds of the AFA08. Had a glimpse of almost everything that I wanted to see at the festival, exception for the lot of the cosplayers and Ichirou Mizuki. There wasn't that many cosplayers that came down today as the competition is tomorrow, and besides that, I'm not a fan of Ichirou Mizuki.

Much thanks to Edmund and his GF, not forgetting Teow Yong for queuing up and getting tickets for me and company. If not I'd be joining the 1hour queue just to get my arse into the convention hall, lol. From what Edmund and Teow Yong told me, the queue at 9:15am needed an hour just to reach the booth counter.. the crowd were queuing from the booth (located at the middle of the level) to 1 end, and then U-turning, all the way to the other end.. that is 1 hell of a queue..
Fortunately the organizers decided to open the booth before the scheduled timing and cleared as much crowd as possible.. guess the queue was too overwhelming, and they were afraid that it would cause problem for the iProperty (1 floor down), or the books sales (1 floor up).

Figures, manga and anime aside, I think the organizers of AFA has a very efficient noob cosplay filter, LOL! I'm totally serious about this. The difference between the "free-rein" cosplay events and a official cosplay event is A LOT. Although some of the cosplayers do not have the looks, most of them are still acceptable as a human. You won't be able to see any fat leena lee(s), or obease sailor moon, or C.C. that just spoils your appetite. This is really a rare sight, haha; hope the cosplay competition tomorrow will not disappoint me =/

Regarding the exclusive 1/100 Trans-am Exia 001 model (pink), which is made of clear plastic, it's not really an eye-candy. You can see it for yourselve. The blue tran-am version which is 1/144 is much better; other than it being 135mm tall, it's overall better than the other version.
However, the Double-O gundam which is released next month (December), is much more detailed and is better looking!

Singapore Indoor Stadium

POL-ITE competition was hosted yesterday by NP, on SP field. Went there to support a bit before leaving off in the evening.

There were some "interesting" incidents that occurred during the compy. First was a TP archery from the Novice category getting DQ'd; Mind you.. NOVICE Category..
Still haven't got any info on how he/she got disqualified.

The other incident thats worth mentioning is that Gerald got injured when his board mate pulled out an arrow, that gouged his lips. Ouch! Although I don't see that victim traumatized, I think it should be natural that the guy should be very apologetic, and try to help him out, but I didn't see that happen.

Some guy from SPSU gave me a school magazine. I took it along with me as I walked to the MPF (Multi-purpose Field) to setup my Bow. As I had to run off to do change the media of the cells for my project later, I didn't shoot yet, and chat with Samuel and WaiJack.

So I rush off to the lab as soon as Lex ring me up.

My MP4 Player

I finally got my hands onto the MP4 Player. I got tired of waiting for the shop to "replenish." To be honest, it really seems too much of a good deal. Island-wide is selling that mp4 package for $299, inclusive of GST. The lowest I could find was $295.
And Song Brothers told me that they were selling it at $250!! ($267.50)

Thus, I decided to drop by a electronic shop in Toa Payoh, which is so much closer to me, compared to Sim Lim Square, to purchase 1.

The first reactions from my Class Tutor (Dr. Ong) and Jon Seah was quite hilarious. Like IT nubs =x Both of them commented that I have changed my phone. And when I fiddled around with it, they were wondering.. where's the keypad? Touch screen? I ain't touching the screen.. (lol!)

Dr. Ong even commented that I have class, and said that not many people of my age has it. Makes me wonder if he ever been to Bugis Street, or Far East Plaza =/ Or maybe those are classified along with mud(s) and mina(s) =x

Buay tahan.. lazy to blog, also must blog today..
The smell is unbearable.. the Curtin University to be is just opposite my block.
They leveled the entire carpark and place fertilizer all over.. problem is they are using some kind of cheap fertilizer which smells!!! As soon as I get off the bus, I could suffocate just from the methane or ammonia smell in the air.

Even from my house, which is located at the 11th storey. It's unbearable.. have to switch on the air-con, close the door, and emo in the room >.>

Anyway, it's the 3rd week since SP reopen. The pace is beginning to pick up, and the tests are up in 5 weeks time.

I've recently decided to get an MP4 player.
A Sony NWZ-A826K, which comes with a bluetooth headphone; for the price of $250, with GST is $267.50
It's quite a pinch, but I really look forward to the bluetooth headphones.. been a few months since I wanted a coreless headphone, hehz.
And the battery life with bluetooth is rated at 10 hrs!!
It's by far more than what my current iPod Nano (Generation 1) is capable of... 4-5 hours >.>

FYP Presentation

Had quite a refreshing weekend. Watched Eagle Eyes with Isaiah and Jaden on Saturday night. Overall it's a good movie, it has a very real and powerful plot. Showing how AI can advance and take control of the "World" due to bad judgments made by the higher authorities.

Besides this, I've recently started playing Final Fantasy 7 - Crisis Core. I like how the story develops, but there's a trend in all Final Fantasy series; there will always be a death of 1 of the main characters, in this case, Zack.

Our FYP Presentation is tomorrow morning! It's a do or die thing for my group. Tomorrow situation will determine whether we get our Grades, and our chance in show casing in Spinnovex. Whatever happens, I'll always look forward to future! =)

1 month huh? Time sure goes by fast.
I have got back my result for the Semester, and I got to admit, it sucks. Out of my 5 academic semesters, I have never scored a GPA of less than 3.0 each semester. I broke the spree, and finally got a 2.84 Fortunately, my cumulative GPA is still of acceptable score; 3.48

Managed to escape the butchering by letting my mom know about my result as soon as the school system send me a SMS. So by the time the letter came, the tension had died down.

Besides this, I have also receive the parcel from Hong Kong PlayAsia. The Unison Vita which I have ordered since March, earlier this year. My father was the 1 who receive the parcel on my behalf. And it was quite the shock for him, the price was stamped onto the parcel; 74.90 USD. Hah! xD
He kept bombarding me with question regarding the parcel content, and query if it was a bomb =d Gotta give in to him, so I told him it was a figurine =/

In addition to this, Unison Vita. So far I have 3 in total now. Adding Reinforce Zwei and Fate Testarossa. Still waiting to receive are, Shana (nendriod), Signum, Hayate, and Teana (Just ordered).

Happy Bdae Lex!
Was suppose to meet up at cenileisure at 12noon. But I had an appointment with a dermatologist. While waiting for the appointment, my mum asked me to accompany her for a short 20mins massage session, on the back.
At first, I had the impression that massage parlor is relaxing and shiok.. after today, I have to think twice b4 going into a massage parlor.. They rub onto your tendons, veins, artery, all those parts where no matter how much you "GENG," you will still feel the PAIN! But I felt that my blood circulation improved vastly after the massage session, as the saying goes.. 'No Pain, No Gain.' Lol

After seeing the dermatologist, I went off to Plaza Singapura to meet up with Lex, Jonathan, Riodi, and Pei Ling. Reached there around 4pm.

Went for the rSAF Open House yesterday morning with Quan Hui. Since there wasn't much to do in the morning, and it's the 1st time rSAF is having an Open House. Took a few pix here and there. Didn't really bother to try the flight stimulator, or getting into the cockpit of a plane/helicopter, as the queue is dumb. Queue for an hour, just to get into the cockpit of a plane/helicopter, and sit in there for less than 10seconds.

yup! I'm left with 8 hours 25 mins, and ticking down to do the last paper. This is going to be so exhilarating! Words are flowing into my mind non stop, yet I feel that I'm being over flooded. Does human brain has a capacity of how much they can memorize?

I guess an hour of sleep should be sufficient. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much side effects from bad sleeping habits. Heaty, nose bleed, pimples, white hair, etc. lol.

On the other hand, after this paper.. There's so much .. SOOOO MUCCHHH stuffs that I wanna do!! I can finally "deflower" my CX900 this coming Saturday!! Will be going to snap loads of pix of my new limbs. The looks of it, is just too magnificent. =D

Finally.. Peace and Tranquility..
For the record.. while installing Norton360, the registry files for my wireless lan adaptor got corrupted and I had to send in for servicing again.. 3 days after receiving it back.
And Thus.. I've learn quite a few skills from this life experience.

Lesson No.1:
BACK UP THE F*KING HARDDISK B4 YOU START ANYTHING!! T.T

Lesson No.2:
GET ALL THE HIGH-PRIORY WINDOWS UPDATE B4 BACKING UP!

Lesson No.3:
Learn to relax and bluff the service centre, even thou it was my fault, I just have to blame it on their poor and lousy service for this accident ^^;;

Thus.. my laptop is currently in a Ready-To-Download state!!
Cheers!! Time to download those anime that I've missed from the last week.

Either way, I'm left with my last paper. Rapid Prototyping. It's simply the best and un-understandable module in this current semester. Should be quite thankful for "Fruitful and Entertaining" lectures.

uhh.. Mech3+OM exam in 2 days

crap.. been too busy with my laptop and stuffs.. and before I know it.. I'm left with 1 and a 1/2 days of revision for both Mechanics 3 and Organization Management Exams. Going to have to reduce my sleeping hours and increase my concentration power to endure through this 2 major papers.

After stopping renegade for nearly 1/2 a year, I find that it's still a very amazing and fun game to play. It has the element of teamwork, pwnage, sniping, dodge fighting, etc. As long as you have friends in the game, I don't see how you can get bored with it. =D

After delivering my laptop for servicing (took back to make backup) again, my mom bought me a new pair of shoes for running! ^^;; Teva, wraptor series. It costs $160.. T.T Well, she told me that price of not of my concern since she's paying for it.. but I still feel resentful about it, rofl.

It's light, airy, and feels very comfortable. The next time I go for a jog, or to the gym, I'll push myself and try it out :P

Laptop Status - Graveyard`ed

Recently I had some problems with my windows installer system in my laptop. Had it since I updated the windows update. It happened just before I bought my CnC3. So installing the game was quite a hassle, but it still wasn't much of a deal to me. I just had to use my desktop to install the game into my portable harddisk, then export the registry into my laptop, change the install path, etc. But seriously.. it's really irritating to have this crappy problem. I can't install any updates, add-on, etc, practically anything that requires "Windows Install Sheild; Windows Installer" in order to procede on to the setup.

Earlier today, I had found a cure to this dumb crap. By checking the windows installer logon option to "Allow service to interact with desktop" and changing the startup mode to "automatic", the windows installer magically worked again. So I quickly tried to install CnC: Renegade into my laptop.

Before I could do that.. out of no where my FireFox Browser or Internet Explorer kept have the error of.. "FireFox/IE could not access to (server name; http://yahoo.com.sg)" So I decided to reboot the laptop.. BAM!! BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH! !@#$!
And the most crap part was.. I retried rebooting in the following config:-
safe mode
safe mode and command promt only
last known configuration that worked
start windows normally

They all resulted in the blue screen of death that lasts for a split second, followed by a restart. There wasn't even enough time for me to read what was the error code etc.. Just came back from the service centre at Funan IT mall.. had to pay a diagnostic fee of $80 upfront, before they even check what's wrong with it.. fortunately parts is still covered, so what ever hardware that they diagnosed is spoilt, they would replace them foc for me =)

Hoping to hear good news in 3-5 days T.T
Mean while it's a good time for me to take a break from my laptop, and start mugging for my upcoming semestral examinations.. Lol.

Class Outing

AY 2008/2009 S1 Class Outing..

Had RP lesson in the morning, followed with FYP stuffs at the RPC..
As I had just bought CnC3 and Kane's Wrath, I decided to play a little while they were experimenting on the PCL/HA composites. It was kind of a failure as we needed theoriatically 120 degree celcius* (dc) to get the HA to melt down.. the oven at the RPC could only heat up to 100 dc. The other alternative was to head over to the Ematl Lab 2 and ask the TSO over there. He offered us the furnace that can heat up to 300-330 dc. There will be a few complications if we use that furnace.. firstly, the PCL/HA will probably turn into vapour or something.. secondly, there is no way we can observe the change in the state of the PCL/HA composite as the furnace is to be closed up. The other alternative that we came to a conclusion, was to use the heating plate. Together with a sturdy thermometer, we could observe the change in temperature, and see the change in state of the PCL/HA.

During the time while we were using the oven at the RPC to heat up the PCL/HA to 100 dc to check if it would melt into liquid form. We were having fun playing CnC3 Kane's Wrath!! Jonathan was commenting how strong Scrin's battleship were, etc. So I decided to let him try and prove it to me, against a *Normal AI* on skirmish mode. He got pwned up pretty badly when the AI attacked him.. for obvious reasons, you can't bring out tier 3 units fast and efficiently enough.. rofl. Then the newbie lexy wanted to try out against the *Normal AI* that Jonny couldn't win against. And try again he shall. and Again, AnD agAIN! LOL!
Finally on his 4th try (3 retries in total), he managed to defeat the *Normal AI*

All this time, Edmund and I were impatiently staring and commented at his super atheletic skills at the game.. when Lex finally won the game, Edmund went for *BRUTAL AI*!! He died in 5 mins. And I tried as well.. well.. I died in 5 mins as well.. LOL. Stupid steam roller tatic.. totally couldn't defend against 20 units + epic, with barely 10 crappy units..

Time flies and it was evening. Lex had to go collect his pay check at New Urban Male.. since it was near to PS, I accompanied him over to collect his pay check, then went to PS. Meet up at Plaza Singapura at 7pm+, then waiting at Mahantan Market for space. There were only 12 of us over there, so we had to wait for a total of 3 tables. The meal there was quite an experience, unique, filling, and not that expensive as compared to Fish and Co. Lol.

Since they had a 10% discount for DBS credit card payment, I offered to pay for the bill.. a total of S$263.20 . Will be collecting back my money.. hopefully soon.. Lolx.

YAGAMI HAYATE pre-ordered

Yay!! I'm super crazy today.
Went out to bugis with Ash this afternoon.
Had lunch together at Fu Lou Shou complex, eating chicken rice.
Chat about his field camp, army life, etc.
Also talked about play-asia, and their discount coupon..

Then went window shopping at Sun Shine Plaza.
See the Hayate figurine picture, had the super irritated feeling..
Thus I did something to get rid of this thorn in the heart.
(read on to find out, LOL!)

Nothing much nice to purchase, and I still had spare time before heading over to my "Yi Po" house to celebrate National Day. So we went to Sim Lim Square. Ash wanted to get guitar heroes for his ps3. The cheapest offer was $370 for the entire set so far. He wanted to share the game with his bro, but ended up, his bro had no interested, so he gave up the idea.. lol.
However, he still might consider guitar heroes for his DS. Of course there won't be anything to wack about, haha.

After inquiring around about his ps3, wii, and ds games. I bought CnC3 + Kane's Wrath, for S$89. I quite liks CnC RTS. So I bought it, together with the expansion.

Following that, Ash went home, and I headed to "Yi Po's" house.
Celebrate for awhile, until around 8-9pm, then go home..
Check my email.. saw mails regarding the $10 off coupons for play-asia, decided to give it a go.. and.. WA LA!!! I HAVE PRE-ORDERED YAGAMI HAYATE!! =D Got rid of my irritating feeling which kept brothering me earlier in the evening!!

And great.. my laptop is corrupted or something.. the windows installer service could not be accessed... how do I install my CnC3 now?

GrandFather Cremated

My grandfather was cremated on Monday.
So today my mom and a few others went to collect his ash and small pieces of bones. Now I need to spend time recovering from my sinuses. Been a few days since I had it already.

Today go school only for OM revision, and RP mini project.
Thx to Mr. Chua, we just have to provide multiple scans of different treshold. The application of applying glue or some sort of solution to the model itself after it has been fabricated will be done by him. xD

He told us that in his last life, he owe the students. So in his current life, he is repaying us.. LOL. What an excuse for not wanting extra trouble in cleaning up the lab =x
Anyway, it isn't that difficult to apply the solution to the fabricated model, but the trick is after applying the solution, you have to hang it up, and drip it try.. our dumb rabbit skull looks so flimsy, as if it could be crush just by sneezing onto it.. -_-

But at last, everything will be cared for by Mr. Chua, ho ho ho =x

GrandFather's Wake

Been quite pre-occupied with the death of my grand father.
He died on Thursday afternoon at 2pm
C.O.D. - Late Stage Pancreas cancer
At least he pass away peacefully, as I believed he was sleeping at that time.
This would be the 4th relative that has died since my birth.
My grand mother (Mother side) died when I was 4 mths old
My Great grand mother (Mother side) died when I was around 6 years old.
My Uncle (Father's brother) died a few years back.
And now, it's my grand father (Mother side).

If you ask if I'm sad or anything; I'm not particularly that close with him for the past few years, so nope. But I would definitely miss him. He used to take care of me when I was younger. That was when I was still schooling at primary school.

Either way, I will be pretty busy for this few days; have to help out at the wake.
Yesterday, around a total of 30 people came over to the Singapore Casket to visit us.
Think there will be more today, since Jowyne invited her friends over.. =/

Any of my friends want to come? Sms or call me! lol.
You can visit me, anytime until Sunday night.
Monday he will be cremated, so yeah.. skipping school >_>
since the cremation is in the morning at 9am (around der)

I'm really bad at getting myself in the mood for studying..

woah crap. My shootout for the FITA 900 was total crap.
I didn't have enuff energy to pull and click all the 90 shots (excluding sighter)
And I had difficulties with anchoring.. keep having variation of anchor >_>
I push the tab plate too hard on my chin.. now my chin so pain.. lol
Yeah.. my score was 451/900 -_-
Will be looking forward to improvements.. current target, 600 pts.
Shouldn't be a problem after I fix my anchoring problem and my strength control/conservation..
Hope I won't take too long to get it right.. =D

Went to ton at Desmond's house last night..
I think I reached there around.. 2230 hours, lolx.
Played a bit of PS3, 2 or 3 matches of the 3D-Dragon Ball game.
Kinda like the same as the old DBz PS game, but sadly.. no Gogeta.
FYI, Gogeta = Goku + Vegeta.

Nothing much to do after that, so we slept in until 9 the next morning.
Had no mood for training, so played Resistance instead.
Play until around noon, then went for lunch, and off to down town east for the CosFest..
Met Yu Xin der, swap gifts, and then went photo shooting..

Overall.. today's photo shoot are quite bad.. donnoe izzit the camera settings bad, the megapixel too sux, or my hands too shaky.. >_>

Hope tomorrow will be a better day for both my camera, and the cosplayers.. really hope SG standards can improve a lot..! LOL!

I'll just post some random pix, since the "WWW" confirm will have better photos than me..

Morning.. CSW lesson!
Yes! I was late for lessons again! LOL!
Had the dumbest task to do this afternoon.. Ms. Lay asked me to be a "model" for her little project.
She needed picture of students involve in discussion work. The pix will be used in the school web page, magazines, etc. where ever that she finds them suitable at.

She grabbed 4 peeps from our class, Jon Seah, Jeslin, Hanafi and Me.. >_>
Out of the 4 of us, I gotta admit Hanafi is a natural-talented poser cum director.
Thanks for the papaya-watermelon! =) LOL!

And so.. was suppose to go watch "Hancock" with Jon and Lex.
But Lex decided to pang seh me on my bdae, and overslept until 4pm (he called Jon after we left him 2 nice voice mails =d)
Invited Jon Pang(JP!) and Soh Khim. They came after their FYP stuffs.

While waiting for them, Jon and I went to Vivo to get the ticket and to play at TimeZone.
JP told us that GV sells movie ticket at 6 bucks on weekdays; student price.
But he had forgotten about the word "VIVO", which means LIVELY!
YES! SO TO WATCH MOVIE AT LIVELY, IT COSTS 10 BUCKS! (probably +1 due to preview)

4 and a 1/2 hours, and counting down..

2 tests over, 2 more to go, as well as 1 group presentation.

Cleared Rapid Prototyping (Science Part) on Monday , and Ophthalmic Optics paper today..

Was super late for the test yesterday =S
Supposedly, the test is on the 1st lesson of the day, at 8am.. and I got to SP at 8:30am!! LOL!
Fortunately, Mr. Foo was kind enough to allow me to take the test..
And the worse part was.. as I just started writing my name.. everyone else was handing up the paper, and getting out of the class already.. If I had arrive any later than that, I would be in deep trouble.. >_>

But the paper was easier than expected.. despite the fact that Mr. Foo enphasize that the test would be more "challenging and difficult" compared to the test in his GEMs module..
I took his GEMs module 2 semesters ago, and got a B+ .. or B.. forgot already.. but if I were to compare the test from the GEMs, to this paper which I had just taken.. The paper from the GEMs is definitely more challenging.. Lol. Oh well, that's Mr. Foo for you..

And all thanks to my laziness and procrastination, I dragged the Optics Report until yesterday.., and finish compiling it up. I won't say that it's any where near perfection, but as far as I can see, it's much better than the rest of the other groups in class.. LOLx!!! xD!
Had to hand the report up this morning, just before taking the Ophthalmic Optics paper.

Still haven't started on the Power Point slides yet.. and the group's presentation is next week >_>
P.S. Don't worry Jonny, I'll be doing it later in the night.. =/

Woah.. the Ophthalmic paper was a killer.. The last time I clearly remembered her saying the format was like 10 MCQs, 10 True or False, and 2 short/long answer questions.. or something close to this.. When we got the paper, I was like.. WTF!? 5MCQs (2marks each) and the rest are Short Answer Questions (40marks).. The short answer questions were a killer..
That paper worth 30%!! wth!! Luckily the report and presentation is 40%, I have confidence in that portion.. =) And obviously the balancing 30% is our Semestral paper..

FYP road block

Having CSW lesson now.
Just received back my job application and interview results..

For my cover letter..
Format - 6/10
Content - 6.5/10
Language - 7/10

For my interview..
Personal Preparation - 26/30
Delivery - 34/40

Overall - 79.5/100
A 0.5% more to an A =S

Guess I have to do better in my written test if I want my A.

And.. our FYP has kind of ended up in a "road block" at the moment..
Can't touch the Bio-Plotter.. Can't develop new scaffolds.. Can't start cell-culturing without consistent scaffold as results will not be meaningful..
With all this problem, we're abit screwed. >_>
Either way, this isn't entirely our problem.. more of our direct supervisor if you ask me..

So the worst case scenario will be writing report and thesis without results =D
Slightly better, will be, we import in ready-made scaffolds to do cell-seeding.
Then can proceed on to the material testing and cell viability count etc.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

Blah.. I'm still busy working on my CSW letter writing.. dumb advertisement crap.
I just started playing a web browser game, Ikariam. I'd rate it 4 out of 5. It doesn't lag, and has pretty interesting features such as trading, pillaging etc. I especially like the trading part of the game. Oh yes, there's the espionage as well, spying on other's economy, diplomacy, as well as military strength.. Just got bored of playing RPGs etc. , so just trying out the game.

Ash and I went to Bugis on Wednesday, 2 days b4 he goes for his 2 wks chalet, lolx.
Wanted to have some morning practice that day, but it ended up becoming a games day.. and I was in jeans.. ~_~

They year1s were split into 4 teams and played "captain's ball."
I did play abit if the teams weren't even. But my shoe laces kept coming lose and it felt uncomfortable >_>

So Ash came during the afternoon, had our lunch together, before heading out towards bugis. Oh, Sze Yuan wanted to tag along as well, but too bad she had a meeting =/
By the time her meeting ended, we were on the way home.. ROFL! xD

Kk.. so we went to.. Sunshine Plaza.. isn't it obvious? =/
Was looking at KKnM's new arrival and pre-order listing. There's where I saw that they were selling Reinforce Zwei.. apparently it got restocked.. I was a little late to pre-order it during the start of the year together with my Fate Testarossa.
And there I was deciding if I should buy it.. Ash asked me to flip a coin to determine the purchase.. or talk with the figurine and check if it would ask me to buy it.. LOLx.

And I ended up zapping my master card and purchase it >_>

Everday Oso FYP

Have been going to the RPC almost every single weekday since last week.
FYI, RPC is Rapid Proto-typing Centre. and FYI, FYI is For Your Information.

Have been tasting Indian timing with first hand experience since then.
Our project is arise around the "BioPlotter." Without it, we're doomed. And our current situation is quite bad, as the device has yet to be considered "Commissioning: Passed"

So while all this crap is going around, I've decided to make use of my spare time to train instead of sleeping in the RPC. There's practically nothing much I can do, except to sit/stand 1 corner and observe. Why can't I do hands-on? Cause the engineer doing the commissioning stated that NO 1 IS TO TOUCH THE MACHINE W/O HIS PERMISSION.

Since that much has been said, obviously there's nothing else the rest of us can do, except to use eye power. After all, he is explaining the usage to us.

I'd say that this is the 1st phrase.
The 2nd phrase would be SEM. known as Scanning Electron Microscope.
This is done to determine the porosity of the scaffold we've build using the BioPlotter. Before SEM can be done, we have to do "ghost spattering" to the scaffold. However, once a scaffold has undergo this treatment, it is no longer suitable for cell culturing. Despite the fact that it cannot be used for cell culturing, we could always use to for mechanical strength testing. So it's not really wasted as we can waste it! *muahahaha

Alrite, retiring out now.. Have a jog to do tmr morning.

Dinner

Just came back from Dinner with Mr. Foo.

He's a friend of my father.. he owns a chinese restaurant in London. So yeah.. he's pretty rich. He used to treat our family to buffets etc.

Went to "Canton Wok (By Chef Kang)" place for dinner. Ordered a set meal for 6 people, $188. Mr. Foo, Mrs. Foo, my mom, dad, brother and I.

The last time since I had shark fin was Chinese New Year.. so it sure feels good to eat shark fin again~ smooth and superb!

The course had crab and fish as well.. smooth and tasty~ delicious!! rofl

Oh well, better sleep early, got training tmr~ ^^

Recovered (SPAC FO Camp)

Went for the SP Archery Freshman Orientation camp last weekend.. which concluded successfully. Was the Assistant Group Leader for team number 3, Hoyt. =S
I named myself "Kei" after (S.A.; Special A). Not even sure why I decided on that nick.. probably coz he's too smart? lolx.
oh well.. nothing much interested to talk about the camp, except for a few stuffs..

Like during the aftermath of the tele-match. We had plenty of fun with flour war~ rofl
hmm.. oh yes, during the night walk as well.. I was located at the Business Block, level 4, Staff room. It was total pitch dark for people who doesn't has visual purple.
I can stick to the wall, and when they're right infront of me, they can't even sense my presence. So it's like.. what the hell just happen?

Well, the most surprising things that happened during the night walk was.. gay couples (guy and guy; elbow lock), balless people (went into the staff room; 3 groups, 6 people together), and Joey! LOLx!

She was the only 1 we had fun "scaring" during that night.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention who was in the staff room with me..

3rd day of the semester.. There's a serious problem in Singapore Polytechnic now..
Over Population.. Each and every turn, there will be at least 50% year 1s..
Think they increased the intake by 50% this year.
This coming CCA drive is going to be 1 hell over crowded + stuffy + over run.

Anyway, I just found out my last semester result made it into the top5% of the class, into the honour's row.. don't think it will win me anything thou. Just a stupid system to me. I only trust system that gives me $$$ afterall.. LOLx!

It was almost 1 month since I last shot. Went to shoot this afternoon until 5pm, pretty exhausted now. Heck~ I need to start pulling more, my stamina seriously sucks to the core. >.>

2nd Day of the Semester

Much better after a day's rest.

Last night, my parents came back from , it's a province of China.
Picked them up at 8:30pm, went back home and unloaded the stuffs b4 we went for dinner!

Besides that, yesterday was also the 1st Day of the Semester.
Met the lecturer that wanted us to help out with him project.
It's a pretty low-middle range profile project. But none the less, it's very meaningful, especially to those elderly who are suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
And yes. It's 1 of the SP Care projects that is available.
Anyway the group of us are going to finalize our decision by next Monday. =)

Prep-Camp; School

2 words. DEAD. EXHAUSTED.

On Saturday morning, I went for my dental appointment which had been booked since last year.. booking is required for scaling, cleaning, and filling.. so yeah..
It's the Toa Payoh Policlinic Dental Centre.. For those who do not know, the booking for this year is already full.. LOLx. So good luck for those who wanna clean their teeth ASAP =S

After the dental appointment, I went Toa Payoh Central to get a quick haircut and deposit my last pay check.. ($180) >.> I then went to School (Singapore PolyTECHNIC), and meet up with Timothy and Ashley for lunch. I reached there much earlier than expect.. Around 12:10pm, was suppose to meet at 12:30pm, even still.. I had to walk to the MRT and wait for the 2 of them.. Ash reach around 12:40pm.. Timothy.. zz.. 1pm if i didn't remember wrongly.. lolx.

Oh, did I forget to mention something? I was driving in my dad's car =d LOL! So yeah.. the feeling of driving to school was indeed quite thrilling and exciting, since it's the first time I drove alone, yet to a place I have not drove to b4. Anyway the main reason why I wanted to drive to school is I had quite alot of stuffs to bring.. my bow equipment + my luggage. Well, at the end of the day, didn't had a chance to shoot, or should say that I was too exhausted.. lolx.

Blehz, and those who think that I'm driving some sort of sports car or something, you can continue dreaming.. My family car is a Toyota Corolla, if I didn't remember wrongly, she's 15 or 16 yrs old already. =)

Ohh yeah.. I oso asked Wai Jack to come for lunch, but his Final Theory Test supposedly ends at 12:45pm, and he hasn't packed his bag yet, so yeah.. I didn't want to wait for him =/

So after that, we had our lunch at FC3, ate the Malay chicken rice (Not Chicken Talk). Normal taste. Soup: Poison for thought. Enuff said.

Wai Jack reach not long after that.. not sure how he did it.. but he sure is fast. Either way, he had already eaten, so we met up with the camp group not long after.
We tried out some of the ice breaking and tele match games that had been planned.
Shouldn't say anything, just incase got info leakage.. lolx.

For dinner, I drove Tim, Ash, and Jack to Clementi. Had a expensive chicken chop rice that costs me $5.50. Zzz.. can't wait for FC4 to open.. I miss my cheap and tasty chicken chop rice!! >.
At night, meet up with the rest and organize the night walk. Well.. personally I find the route too long.. it took us almost 30-40 mins to walk. I going to estimate the time needed for the freshies will be 1 to 1 1/2 hours.. maybe 2 for some.. lolx.
Either way, the meeting concluded at around 1am, by the time I bath finish, and went to the club house to play poker cards abit, it was already 3am. Eaton and company left at 3am. So I went to moberly and TRIED to sleep.. TRIED 1 hour, got stung like hell.. floor hard.. cold.. sticky.. 5am, went to the Car and rest there til 9:30am =D
It was surprisingly much more comfortable and easier to rest.. it was like a musical orchestra in the moberly room.. Snoring of different pitch and amplitude. hehz.

Either way, the wake up time was suposedly 9:30am, got dragged until 10:30am for breakfast, then we moved the equipments in the shared dungeon to our own personal club dungeon. Then debrief, which took almost 2 hours.. >.>
And.. it took me 15 mins to drive back home..

Now.. Sweet Dreamz, Good Night.. *dead exhausted*

Haiz.. Last weekend, went to Desmond house to ton for a day.
Was suppose to go der and attend a movie night event at his Church.
Went der with Edmund oso.. but he pang seh me half way.. went home in the evening..
Oso met up with "Sarkonagael" a.k.a. Byran. Looks pretty much like Vicient from BSS.
Luckily got another person to attend the movie night.

Oh yes this weekend.. might be going to Malaysia together some a group of friends to celebrate Henry's bdae.. have not decided to go yet, still thinking =d
Not sure about their confirmed plans.. like do what etc.. (water sports/bungee jumping) =x

so till den.. I can't confirm my attendance =D

IT Fair

Really long since i last blogged..
anyway, I got quite a few stuffs from the IT fair.
3 things are for my laptop, 1 for the desktop, and another misc.

2 x of 1 GB DDR2 667 Mhz PC2-5300
and a 2.5" 250GB Samsung SATA harddisk with 8mb buffer and 5400rpm.

For the other 2 stuffs.. a G15 (New model) and a McLogic WebCam.

3 things i wanna comment..

1st.. my 2.5" 250GB Samsung SATA harddisk with 8mb buffer and 5400rpm.
I was planning to make this my internal harddrive for my laptop. I check and compared my BIOs and my motherboard. Everything is compatible.. BUT!
My laptop refuses to recognize it as an internal harddisk it in placed.
Tried quite a few different methods of getting it to work, but all in vain.
For Eg. installing a fresh piece of windows xp OS on it. Failed.

Now due to the fact that i tried installing a fresh piece of windows XP into that harddisk, on my laptop as well as on the desktop. Both of them have options at the startup to run the setup for windows xp..
What makes this worst is that the default option is to run the setup of windows xp.

I have to reboot each time this option is selected, just to select the other other to start windows XP that is already installed..

To put matters worst.. my G15 runs on USB, means that it won't be active until windows start.. (which also means i can't use the G15 while in BIOs etc)
So yes.. it's pretty XXXXed up atm. Lolx.

and 2nd thing.. my webcam.. lolx
It has quite a useful feature. In-built mic.
Basically i just have to talk to my LCD screen on ventrilo =D
Have been using it while playing Cabal.

Ahh... so refreshed after a night's sleep.
Thought I was going to puke out in the middle of my rest, fortunately, I didn't =x
First, many thanks to Henry for helping me get rid of the fuking intoxication in my brain. Felt so awake, yet my body so crap.. lolx

Why was I intoxicated? Well, I decided to test my limits and drank a few mouthfuls of Chivas during the bus trip to bugis. Let's say.. i drank about 10 mouthful. On top of that, I had an empty stomach, hehz. Didn't felt much at first, was a little floating when alighting off the bus. Still quite awake and nimble, we walked to a steamboat restaurant. After ordering the food etc, the after effect came to me. Hmm.. I'd say it took around 30 mins to 1 hour for the effect to come. I went to a corner and enjoyed myself behind a Corolla Altis, a white one =D

Was intoxicated for about 2 - 3 hours in total.. and I was offered green tea mux..
Thanks Henry, but no thanks -_-
Nb.. just when I felt abit better, he offered me green tea + chivas mux. Immediately puke again.. -_-
Then wack my back, make me puke even more.. no more liao, still make me gag.. lolx
Well, I did felt abit better, but my brain was still intoxicated. I asked for a cup of hot tea, Henry added another phrase to it, boiling hot tea -_-
Basket.. scalded my tongue abit, but felt much better.
Fortunately I didn't have to pay the $17.80 for eating nuts but puking out.

We made our way over to Bugis Junction, well althou Henry tortured me, but he still helped me get rid of the intoxication by offering me a bottle of fresh milk, I knew I was going to puke even more after drinking it. But this time after puking, my head was clear and my vision was very stable, hehz.. so that was the end of my puke spreee..

Went to watch "Meet the Spartans," the movie lasted about 1 hour only.
Sad, but it was quite a good comedy, lolx.

blehz.. thx to a B and a C, my gpa -0.32
That means my GPA for this semester is 3.68
Cumulative, 3.644
0.056 more to my target!!! Gambateh!! lol

Had quite a lot of fun on the other day.
Early in the morning, went out with SJ, he had 2 case.
Went to the warehouse, grab and tested a sequel machine. then off to the 2 case.
1 for PM, and another for rental of the sequel machine.
After that have lunch at toa payoh market.

Then.. went back to the warehouse to get another sequel machine for the case. Damn nice timing.. after taking the sequel machine out of the warehouse.. the sky was pouring.. had to grab and hug the sequel machine, quickly move and place it into the van. Then off to the household. Exciting eh? This also caused me a slight headache in the evening >_>

At the end of the day, Ray passed me his P plate. Woot! Don't have to bother about getting it from others or buying 1.

Was suppose to do some planning with QinShi tonight.. =x

Anyway I paid $1692 for the magnetic single sleeping system. I'm using it currently, can't wait to see what kind of side effects will I be getting.. hopefully not too drastic like vomiting =x

Yay! Finally got my Class 3 license le.
Passed with 12 demerit points. 6 points thx to "insufficient acceleration."
(4x, 1 free)
Just probably I'm not used to that car yet, oh well, I didn't make any major mistakes.
Some other points came from "wide turn," I don't even know when I did this.. dont remember doing any "wide turns." Another 1 was too slow for "traffic condition," I was driving mainly at 50 km/hr, the other reason that I can think of is the road is too empty, and the speed limit for that stretch of road was 70 km/hr or more. Another was not using the engine brakes during a bend.. don't remember this 1 as well.. does upping my gear from 1 to 2 during a turn consider as not using engine brakes? -_-
And lastly, my last mistake came from incorrect e-brake method. I was upping my gear, when he tapped the dash board. So.. my left hand wasn't on the wheel.. -_-
And he told me this.. you still had time to hold on to the wheel, then e-brake.. wth.. emergency liao, still can have time to hold on to the wheel de ah..? lolx

Haiz.. all this mistakes are worft 2 points each time. So added up to 12 demerit points loh.. as you can see.. I didn't do any major mistakes. In total I only stalled 3 times, 1 during parking, 1 during moving off, and another time when trying to inch out from the stop line.

Kk, I'm going out for my attachment now, depending on the situation, I may continue blogging from the office! =D

Continuation..

Went out with RN church group to watch Jumper.
IMO, it's interesting in it's own way, like electricity can prevent or hinder them from using their teleportation. However the plot isn't that good. Doesn't have that X factor.. If you compare it with movies like Mission Impossible or Spy Kids.. I'd say Jumper is of a slower pace. Maybe the action part isn't focus enough to bring out the full extent of the climax.. oh well.. that's just my opinion.

After that, had some pool fun as well. I must say there are quite alot of good and professional players! I had my dinner with Sean and company at KFC; Funnan IT Mall. Then back to home... =D
